What do you do when you have a .zip file on your iPad? This morning another teacher approached me asking how you can unzip a file. A student had uploaded his Keynote file into Google Apps and shared it with the teacher. As a Keynote file wasn't able to be converted by Google Apps, it simply zipped the file.
So luckily after a quick Google search, I found a free app called WinZip that did the trick. To unzip the file follow this simple steps:
Pretty cool!
- Install the WinZip app.
- Tap the file you'd like to open.
- Choose "Open In" and choose WinZip.
- You can then see a preview of the file in the WinZip app or then tap the export button to open the file in its native app.
Pretty cool!
