Teachers can create a physical space that encourages flexible student grouping, collaboration, and an efficient flow of learning.
Instructional design in a blended learning environment looks different depending on the lesson, topic, and subject area. The blended learning classrooms leverage the advantages of both the face-to-face classroom and the online classroom. There are 4 types of rotational models that work well in the face-to-face component of a blended learning classroom. Additionally, there are several flexible grouping models that encourage student voice, choice, and enable the teacher to serve as facilitator. Teachers can incorporate these models as they design their blended learning classroom. |
